Roles \o/

With the variety of humans in our server, we make sure there are plenty of ways to self-identify. We have over a dozen roles you can give yourself in order to help people know who you are.

Non-self-assignable Roles

There are a few roles you cannot self-assign/remove. These are:

• Rum
  • Our server owner and administrator, Kencha
• NOCs
  • The moderator team and event organizers
• Readers
  • Role given upon agreeing to the rules of the server
• Citizen
  • Default role given upon joining the server
• Bots
  • Default role given to bots
• Zine Moderator
  • Moderator/ organizer of the server noir zine
• Zine Member
  • Participants and contributors for the server noir zine
• Server Booster
  • Role given to those who have boosted the server at least once

Self-assignable Roles

All the roles listed below are ones that you can give to yourself. There are roles to describe what sort of content creator you are and roles to take if you want to be pinged for certain events. We also have roles to describe what sort of writer you are, and a good amount of pronoun roles.

In order to obtain any and all self-assignable roles, you'll use the command .iam [role name] in #botspam.

Content/hobby descriptors:

  • For beta readers
• Idol
  • For podficcers
• Thief

• Mantendo

"Ping me" roles:

• Hannin
  • Take this role if you'd like to be pinged for the question of the day.
• Work Bencher
  • Take this role if you'd like to be pinged for work-bench-related updates

• Prompt Events
  • Take this role if you'd like to be pinged for prompt-related events
• VC Events
  • Take this role if you'd like to be pinged for events that happen in VC such as Fanfic Friday and game nights
• Exchange Events
  • Take this role if you'd like to be pinged for events that involve exchanges

Direct Messaging (DM) roles:

• no-dms
  • You do not want direct messages from other members of the server.This is assigned by default.
• ask-to-dm
  • Other server members need to ask before sending you direct messages.
• open-dms
  • Other server members are welcome to send you direct messages.

Writer roles:

• Long writer
  • You write longer fics.
• One shotter
  • You write standalone, one-chapter fics.
• Prompt taker
  • You write fics based off of prompts
• yes-disc
  • Members are welcome to discuss your works in #fic-disc
• no-disc
  • Members are not welcome to discuss your works in #fic-disc

You can hold multiple of these roles.
